I own a wide range of cameras, sound, grip and camera support equipment as well as a broadcast edit suite and laptop edit system. All camera kits include the following...

Camcorder, Lens, Tripod, Monitor (16:9/4:3), Batteries, Charger, Lights, Mains Power Unit, Wireless Monitor System, Radio Mic, ENG Mixer, Lavaliere Mic, Rifle Mic and Boom. I have an air conditioned Ford Galaxy MPV that can carry a full set of kit and still seat 5 comfortably.

Cameras

Sony F350 HD XDCAM Camcorder (Removable disks) HD and SD with firewire and HD-SDi, Timelapse and Variable frame rate Slo-Mo. This can also shoot in either PAL or NTSC.

Sony Z1 HDV and DVCAM PAL/NTSC handycam with wide angle adapter. This camera is stunning and shoots HD as well as PAL or NTSC standard definition.

Sony PC3 miniDV with "Nightshot" infra red function for shooting in the dark.

Grip Equipment

Hague tripod mounted compact Jib.

Maximum reach 2m. Will support full sized cameras. Ideal for adding smooth camera moves into any production. Adding a little bit of motion into an otherwise static shot adds more depth to the shot, increases production values, and could make your next production stand out from the crowd. There is no extra charge for this jib when you hire me and a full camera kit.

 

ABC Lightweight camera crane (jib) with remote head. Similar to a Jimmy Jib it has a standard 6m reach but can also be use at 2m and 4m. It has an optional Joystick controlled remote head and will take full size broadcast cameras as well as smaller DV and HDV cameras. The Camera Crane packs down into one carry bag plus a further flight case for the remote head. It is made of aircraft grade alloy so is very light and easily transportable. The remote head breaks down into a small single flight case. It only takes 45 min's to rig and can be operated by a single operator. It is ideal for fly-away jobs and jobs in remote areas, locally sourced sand bags or water containers can be used as counterbalance weights. The Jib is ideal for music events, sports and outside broadcasts. It can often be seen in London's Leicester Square at Film premiers and film festivals where it is used by the BBC. Even if the amazing, flowing moves the jib can create are not used it can be used in place of multiple cameras, simply swing the camera to a multitude of new positions. The jib with remote head and operator is £575.00 per day.

Hague dolly.

Uses standard low cost plastic pipe for the track which can be purchased almost anywhere. Normally supplied with 9m of track. Great for adding smooth movement to almost any shot. Takes your production to the next level at no extra cost to you! This is another of my free add-ons, there's no charge for this jib when you book me and a camera kit.

SILK SHOT

Picture Coming Soon! This is a Glidecam / Stedicam type camera stabilizer. It uses a combination of a sprung arm and counterbalanced camera platform to keep the camera stable while I move about. It takes a full size camera and can be fitted with a wireless monitoring system. This is only an extra £50.00 per day, but please bear in mind that it takes a little time to rig and de-rig (15-20mins) and I can only operate it for 30 min's without a break.

Editing

I have a super fast MacPro Quad core computer with the latest versions of Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Studio for editing. This system works in real-time and produces broadcast quality results. It has the latest HD and HDV updates and is perfect for both long and short programmes. It has over 2TB of fast raid storage plus Dat backup and removable client drives. It can handle both HD and SD and has HDSDi, Component and composite I/O. I have numerous special effects plug-ins, a library of pre-prepared graphics and production music. I have been editing for nearly 20 years an am both quick and creative.

And a MacBook laptop edit suite...

The MacBook laptop is great for location editing, smaller and lighter than a traditional edit suite it is the ideal solution for many location "shoot and edit" jobs such as conferences or news. By using removable Firewire drives I can quickly transfer projects from the laptop to my main edit suite, or simply increase the amount of storage available. I can even edit HD footage on the laptop! In addition I can feed you programmes over the internet for rapid delivery from almost anywhere in the world.

Transport

Ford Galaxy MPV

My crew car can seat up to 7, but with a full set of camera kit the 3rd row of seats gets removed leaving comfortable seating for 5. It is air conditioned and is equipped with many useful features including satellite navigation, an inverter for powering battery chargers etc, a colour LCD TV/Monitor, drinks cooler and rotating seats.
