Would you like to know how to get the most from your XDCAM camera or any other pro video camera? I have 20 years of broadcast television experience and I studied electronics to degree level. I run workshops for Sony, train dealers, businesses, school kids and TV professionals.
I run a number of workshops through the year, some specialize in particular applications (see below) while other are very general covering a wide range of topics. I cater for small and large groups or one-to-one. Most workshops are run over a single day, although some can run to several days.

NEW Shooting Stereoscopic 3D the Aurora with XDCAM EX and NanoFlash. To be run in February of 2010 in Iceland. The Iceland master class will follow a workshop on the 25th of Feb part sponsored by Sony. The Iceland course will cover shooting in 3D with XDCAM EX and editing 3D. It will also will include workshops on using XDCAM EX camera in cold weather and using the slow shutter to film the Aurora (weather permitting). Cost approx £600 per person excluding flights.
Shooting the Northern Lights Arctic Expedition: Travel with me to stunningly beautiful Arctic Norway. Travel into the mountains by snowmobile 200 miles north of the arctic circle. During this 4 day expedition I will run workshops on paint and picture profiles. Camera setups and XDCAM workflows. Ths wil also be an opportunity for hands on PMW-350 experience. This is a real adventure staying in the arctic wilderness. There is no running water or mains electricity, but that’s all aprt of the fun! Post NAB “Close Encounters Tornado Chasing”: Fancy something to blow away the cobwebs? Ever wanted to see the America Mid-West. Want to know what it’s like to get really close to some of the deadliest storms on the planet? Join me between the 16th and 22nd of April for a storm chasing adventure. We will travel the plains in search of severe storms, giant hail and tornadoes. April is the start of the tornado season and some of the biggest and most violent storms of the season form in Tornado Alley in early spring. In between storms I will provide classes on camera setups and workflows. During the week we will produce a video record of our experiences exploring all aspects of the XDCAM workflow. Price £900 pp inc accomodation and transport during the tour, but not flights or transport to Dallas.
