Log Style Profile for the FS-100
I was asked if I could come up with a Log style profile for the sony FS-100. Well here are the settings for a very flat almost log look. Grading will be essential:
AC-FS-Log
Gamma Cinematone 1
Black Level: -1
Black Gamma: High, +7
Knee: 85
Color Mode: Standard, -3
Color Level -4
Detail-4

Thanks so much for posting these settings. When I set the Color Mode, I noticed it does not allow me to set a negative value, so I assume the -3 is a typo and you meant positive 3?
It should be Color Level -3. Not to be confused with colour mode.
The flatter the recorded image, less detail can be harvested from a 4:2:0 color space clip. So i assume for such flat look, an external recorder is highly recommended than usual?
That depends on the bit depth. So, yes if recording a wide dynamic range image (which will look flat on a conventional monitor) the more bits of data you have the better. So for any kind of log recording, 10 bit has many advantages over 8 bit.
